In her role as a journalist and congressional spouse, Rita Jenrette has had the privilege to meet with many of the late-20th century's most interesting citizens; including Lech Walessa, Imelda Marcos, President Jimmy Carter and First Lady Rosalynn Carter.

Rita Jenrette's theatrical performances received critical raves in "A Girl's Guite to Chaos" and "A Philadelphia Story". Her film appearances included Orion Classic's "End of the Line" and the cult classic movie "Zombie Island Massacre". As a broadcast journalist Rita Jenrette reported on "This Evening with Nancy Glass", CBS, San Francisco and on Fox TV's "A Current Affair". |

Rita Carpenter Jenrette a member of the Daughter's of the American Revolution and she is a direct descendant of the historical Garlington family. This family can trace its descendants as far back as the 11th century in Europe and to 1636 in the United States.
